Why do some stay at home moms think they are better than working moms?

Saturday, October 29th, 2011
LittleMermaid asked:

If you don’t then great, this is not directed at you. But I see stay at home moms on here all the time with a “I am a better mother than you” attitude. One prime example is a woman who’s answer to another question that I just read. This is exactly what she said, “why have kids AT ALL if you are going to pay someone else to raise them?” Now if that isn’t an obvious jab to working mothers, then I don’t know what is! If a mother can afford to stay at home full time with her kids, wonderful. And by “afford” I mean no welfare, food stamps, or any type of public assistance. But just because a woman has to work for a living to support her children, does not make her any less a good mother than a stay at home mom. We love our kids just as much as SAHM’s do, unfortunatly to feed and clothe them, we do have to work. So again I ask, why do some SAHM’s think they are better mothers than those of us who work? Don’t we deserve to have children just as much as you?
Fruity girl: I have seen numerous examples on Yahoo Answers over the past couple of months that back me up, so I know that there are SAHM or have a “holier than thou” attitude on here. I don’t need praise, I just need the mothers on here to have a little respect for us working moms.
I was a SAHM for about 18 months, so I have nothing at all against a SAHM. I just feel that all moms who care for and love their kids deserve equal respect.

Stay at home mom. Work from home?

Wednesday, October 26th, 2011
Jackie asked:

Does anyone work from home as a Medical Transcriptionist? I’ve seen the add many times for this position & even sent away for a brochure. I received it & read it many times but am still skeptical.
I’m always on the look out for scams as we all are!!

I have medical experience, am familiar with the terminology & my typing is wonderful…. Seems like a great job for me at home!!

Any legit online transcriptionist schools you can recommend? Thanks!

Do stay at home moms expect their husband to work and to cook and clean?

Monday, October 24th, 2011
smiley asked:

I notice that a lot of stay at home moms complain about their husband not helping with housework. But the man has to work his but off to provide since the woman doesn’t want to work. I think that it’s wrong for the woman to expect their husband to work and do housework when they’re just at home all day looking after the children. And can’t even have their own money

Why is it so divided between stay-at-home and working moms?

Thursday, October 20th, 2011
★レo√乇♥ My 3 Boys★ asked:

This is crazy! I just answered a question from a single father who seems to like to cause a stir between working parents and stay-at-home moms. When it comes down to it… Aren’t we all on the same side here? We care about the same things… Our children, our families, making sure everyone is fed, happy and healthy. What is the major problem then??

Your opinions?
bmwdriver: I do not agree. I did not state, but I am a stay-at-home mother by default. I was injured in a car accident that left me unable to go back to my career. I have difficulties in a lot, but take everything in stride. Most days I would rather wrestle a mountain lion than a 2 year old… But at the end of the day, I take a deep breath and am thankful for the opprotunity to be his momma. I am not better a better momma than my best friend who works outside the home. We both have the same struggles, concerns and problems. That my friend is called being a momma.

Work from home moms.what do you do?

Tuesday, October 18th, 2011
tdangel30 asked:

I currently have a job that has me working evenings but my income, along with my husband’s, is still not making ends meet. I need to find something that I can do from home during the days. Our goal as a family is for me to eventually become a stay at home mom all day. We can’t financially do that right now but that’s our goal. I was wondering is any of you experienced stay at home moms out there are also work at home moms? If so do you have any suggestions for things I can do from home. I’ve seen a few scams already so any advice would be helpful.

Thank you, Thank you.

I changed jobs and now work at home from my home office. The other moms at the bus stop don’t shower?

Wednesday, October 12th, 2011
Santa B asked:

Our subdivision is full of stay-at-home moms and many are friends with me, but I find it so crazy that they don’t take the time to shower before we all take our kids to the bus stop (our kids go to a Charter school outside of our distict and the bus is required to pick them up..were not just being lazy) They catch the bus a 8:40…I have enought time to get my two kids dressed and fed and help my husband get out the door and shower myself (and I’m 6 months prego!) I’m not trying to say I’m so fresh and so clean but is that how other stay at home moms are? Why is that?
